Soul Music (Past & Present)

Past & Present is a Soul music project on which I worked since my beginnings and which I recently resumed, renamed, renovated. When I began writing songs  - around 20 y.o.  - I used to collect my titles in track lists of Albums that I would later release. I wrote a lot of songs but my life took other directions and so I only managed to publish one album, back in 2003. After that I stared my band the Flying Cats and the music we made was a little bit different. The project  revived only in 2020 when I imagined a new name for it  and thought to make it become an open discographic project to be carried out with Nautilus Studio (see the item in the menu above) In this sense, this is a brand new project I'm giving life to, and I'm very excited about it The music from this project is for any public because it mixes up soul, pop and blues in a unique blend of sound. It is not a "one-genre" type of thing, since it is formed with different songs as they came to my heart. At the beginning I thought it was Rhythm & Blues/Pop, nowadays Soul seems to me a better definition but still a little bit strict. Fine songs, rich but still equilibrated arrangements, a lot of instruments involved! Many are the instruments I have used in the first album: guitars, piano, bass, double bass, brass and even vibraphone. The important thing to say is that...  this is that quality music that many people think is missing or impossible to make today... well it is not missing it's here! And I have really a lot of it for you to listen... so stay tuned...

This project is open to any performer who wants to collaborate - also remotely - at it on a voluntary basis.
